Counselling

A welcoming space is provided where everyone is treated with respect, dignity and made to feel valued.

If you are facing a crisis in your life or a period of change, or if things are going wrong in your life and you want to understand why and do something about it, counselling can help in that process.

Not an environment for judgement, Gerard will listen carefully and facilitate to allow you to understand your difficulties and help you to see things more clearly.

Again, a counsellor does not judge or offer advice but assists in exploring a range of different feelings such as anger, sadness, grief and anxiety and helps you look at different options or coping strategies.

It is important to understand counselling is confidential except in exceptional circumstances which Gerard will highlight in your initial meeting with him.

Gerard works primarily as a Focusing Oriented Therapist but draws on theory, research and practice from various counselling models including person-centred, psychodynamic, CBT and solution approaches to offer a flexible, integrated approach.

Counselling can take time to work. Sometimes a single or a few sessions are all that is needed. A free 30 minute initial meeting is offered by Gerard to discuss any concerns and the appropriateness of counselling. Contact Gerard today for more information on gerard@murraywellbeing.co.uk.

Standard Rates: £40 Individuals; £45 Couples. Concession rates are also available.
